The Turkey Is Safe!!!

I just got this message from someone else at my office who was concerned about the turkey:

An officer from Dept. F&G with net caught the turkey in a tree this morning. He took it to the School of Vet Med. The arrow was removed. There was no damage to major organs. At 12:25 pm, I witnessed the turkey being released near the northwest corner of the comfort suites. Fox, KCRA and another TV station was there. The officer was there. The medical staff were there. The officer opened the door, the turkey quickly ran out, flew for about 75 yards a few feet off the ground, and ran away.

I'm so happy! I think the turkey trapper guy was right, he could probably have lived with the arrow, but things will be SO MUCH BETTER for him without that thing in his body!!!

Well, he's less likely to run it into something or get it caught in something, and his chance of secondary infection is higher with that in there. So it's for the best.
